This report highligths: (i) the links between children’s presence in China’s commercial sex trade and the inequalities that exist between urban and rural dwellers, between provinces, between city residents and migrants, between ethnic minority groups, and between men and women; (ii) the need to understand the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in the context of migration and the general migrants’ human rights situation in contemporary Asia; (iii) the significance of gender inequalities and; (iv) the need to understand CSEC in the context of human rights issues affecting all those working in the commercial sex trade.
