The United Nations has many human rights mechanisms, among which the periodic review of the Committee on United Nations Child Rights Convention (CRC) and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the Human Rights Council are the two of the most important processes that focus on the rights of the child.

The key objective of this report, “Children in Bangladesh: Progress towards Commitments in 2015 Report”, is to measure the progress of the government of Bangladesh’s initiatives and thus to improve accountability of the State and other key actors for their commitments and obligations towards children, and of the international community for the promotion and protection of child rights.
