Children and the environment – Actors on the international arena

This report is part of a number of background documents that have been produced within the framework of one of Save the Children Sweden’s projects which addresses the issue of children’s rights to a healthy physical environment. Key concerns in this report are: how environmental problems are approached; who the actors are; and how a child right perspective is integrated in the activities. This report is the outcome of a search covering UN-agencies, other inter-governmental bodies, research institutions, international NGOs, and networks. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child serves as an organising framework in reviewing the relationship between children and their environment.
