Save the Children Norway

This is one of two child friendly versions of UN Security Resolutions that were prepared for the Global workshop, Children and young people as actors in peace building, held in Oslo in May 2012. Save the Children wanted to make children and young people aware of the commitments made by the UN about women and girls and conflict situation, and how to protect children in armed conflict. Save the Children believes it is important for children and young people to know more about these commitments because they have been created to improve children and young people’s lives, protect them and keep them safe. Save the Children also hopes the publications will be useful for children, young people and adults working for children’s participation in peace building and the fulfillment of children’s rights.
