The Child Sensitive Social Protection (CSSP) project was initiated in 2011 in Nepal and is built on the understanding that government social protection programmes can play a key role in advancing the development of children. For this to materialise, poor and vulnerable households need to be in a position to access their social protection entitlements and once this is achieved, they must be supported to ‘invest’ in their children
This brief summarizes the approaches and achievements of a Child Sensitive Social Protection Protection (CSSP) project in Nepal.
