Child Rights Situation Analysis Lebanon. Report Commissioned by Save the Children Sweden

Lebanon ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on 14 May 1991 and has exhibited commitment to improving the condition of the child and protecting its wellbeing. Since Lebanon’s ratification of the CRC, the situation of children has significantly improved, in law and practice. This Child Rights Situation Analysis (CRSA) is intended to inform SCS Lebanon Country Office of the status of children’s rights, the dominant violations and the roles played by all actors (stakeholders: duty bearers, co-responsible, caregivers, children etc) in implementing the UNCRC. Areas of focus of the study are protection, education, health, survival and development and role of civil society in Lebanon.
