China’s economic progress has drawn both foreign and domestic attention to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society”. Although the number of businesses incorporating child rights into their CSR has begun to increase, it is not well understood how businesses in China are achieving this.
This document presents child rights in China. This is framed with extensive information about child rights protection at both the domestic and international levels, current CSR standards under development in China, and how international relations inter-relate with the issue.
This is a revised version of an introductory document bearing the same name. It can be found here.
