This second issue of the Child Protection MERG Newsletter contains valuable up-to-date information on Child Protection Monitoring and Evaluation, with links to related sites and publications specific to this area. Items of interest are the launch of the reports “At Home or in a Home?” about child care reform in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and a survey report issued by the government of Tanzania on violence against children. Information on The Children and Violence Evaluation Challenge Fund is also availabe for download– an initiative aimed at reducing the prevalence of violence against children by funding quality evaluations of violence prevention and child protection interventions in low- and middle-income countries.
