Save the Children
A concept paper on rights-based national child protection systems developed within the framework of Save the Children’s Child Protection Initiative (CPI), which is designed to strengthen local or national child protection systems that respond to and prevent all forms of abuse, violence, exploitation and neglect. Save the Children International’s CPI Priority Area Strategies 2010-2015 focus initially on children without appropriate care; child protection in emergencies; and child labour, in both emergency and development settings. This concept paper was prepared by a task group of Save the Children members under the leadership of Save the Children Sweden, and its main purpose is to support the coordination and development of Save the Children’s policy, practice and advocacy on national child protection systems.
