Child Protection in Emergencies and CPWG Coordination in Emergency Response in the Philippines: Beyond the first three months; planning for transition

This two-day consultation was held 17-18 February 2014 at Harold’s Hotel, Cebu City.  It was organized to review Child Protection Working Group (CPWG) Coordination and plans for transition to the recovery phase and preparedness for future emergencies. Specifically, it also aimed to: (1) provide technical support/guidance to CPWG co-chairs; (2) reflect on Child Protection and CPWG lessons learned in the first three months of the TY Haiyan emergency and Zamboanga humanitarian crisis; and (3) gather opportunities for strengthened CPWG cooperation with programme and other clusters, including recommendations for the way forward.
