This manual is intended to be used by trade unions in policy advocacy, campaigns, training programmes, and other activities that relate to ending child labour and advocating for education for all.
Access to quality basic education for all children has been linked to a decrease in child labour. This manual provides an overview of what child labour is and outlines the strategies and tools that unions can employ to promote quality education at both national and international levels. The manual also provides an overview of the key international standards and the main commitments endorsed by the international community in the Millennium Development Goals and the Education for All Framework for Action.
