Case Study: Kaffrine Children’s Municipal Council-The Buumu Mbekté project

The project was implemented in Kaffrine a region with a high level of poverty (More than the national average), a low access to social protection service/programme and formal education in the region (general literacy rate is at 37% vs 63% at national level). A place were children voices are not heard in local decision making bodies. Using our public investment in children common approach we successfully created a Children municipality council and advocated for the allocation of resources for child protection related-programmes.
