Save the Children New Zealand has been working to develop the “4 Good young leaders” programme, which provides young people under the age of 18 with the opportunity to learn leadership skills while working on a community project. “4 Good young leaders” empowers children to have a voice in society and to take action. The programme supports all (not only ‘talented’ or ‘born leaders’) children to develop personal management skills and good ethics relevant to their private and public lives and provides a space where children’s voices can be heard and their rights respected.
