This study presents lessons learned in respect to Save the Children UK’s work with separated children in the two camps in Sinje, Liberia. The fieldwork for the study was undertaken during a short and intensive period by two Liberian members of the Save the Children UK staff and the Care and Protection of Separated Children in Emergencies Reasearch Coordinator. Considerable emphasis was placed on the active participation of children and of foster carers throughout the study
