Since its launch in 2003, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has supported care for more than 10 million people worldwide, including more than 4 million orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). This evaluation report on OVC-related activities of Save the Children in Côte d’Ivoire is based on a 12-day mission to assess two of Save the Children in Côte d’Ivoire’s three PEPFAR-funded sites in Western Côte d’Ivoire. It covers two of the three sites managed by Save the Children in Côte d’Ivoire and the recently added site in Abidjan’s Adjamé area. Its purpose is to assess what has been accomplished under the two-year USAID/PEPFAR-funded project (2008-2010), and make recommendations regarding future work in favor of children made vulnerable and orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
