This report outlines the development and application of a systems-based approach to address food security and climate change in Buenaventura, Colombia. The methodology integrates Causal Loop Diagrams (CLDs) and System Dynamics (SD) modeling to capture the complex interactions between climate, food security, and socio-economic factors. Key findings highlight the projected decline in agricultural production under a Business-as-Usual (BAU) scenario, leading to increased food insecurity and malnutrition. The report evaluates various intervention strategies, including sustainable agriculture, crop diversification, and improved access to health services, demonstrating their potential to enhance food security and economic resilience. The Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) indicates that these interventions are economically viable, with a Benefit-to-Cost Ratio (BCR) of 2.52 by 2050. The study underscores the importance of multi-stakeholder engagement and capacity building for effective policy implementation and climate adaptation.
