Building Brains Evidence Synthesis Technical Annexes

These Technical Annexes provide a comprehensive review of the research work, methods, and results of the publication, Ten Years of Building Brains: An evidence synthesis of uptake and impact to date, available at Save the Children’s Resource Center. The Annexes provide a detailed account of all the research questions, methods, data sources, analytical approaches, and adherence to standard best practices for the systematic review and meta-analysis. This document presents an exhaustive description of the information sources, the review process, and the appraisal of the quality of the evidence included in the meta-analysis, the estimation process and detailed results for all outcomes analyzed. It includes an appraisal of data and study quality and acknowledges potential limitations and lessons learned from the research process.
