A brochure about Save the Children’s on-going activities in South Asia in the framework of the Child Sensitive Social Protection Programme (CSSP) launched in 2010, which highlights the importance of child-sensitive social protection to poverty reduction. The CSSP programme aims to build resilience and enhance child sensitivity of poor households to ensure that children have improved development opportunities. The initiative will cover 336 000 children in Bangladesh, India and Nepal, and its main objective is to improve children’s lives by: 1. increasing the number of children enrolled in and regularly attending shool; reduce child labour; increase health-seeking behaviour for children; and improve nutrition and food sufficiency for children.
