Adolescents make up approximately a quarter of the world’s population. Yet, we are not aware of how to best support them as they go through this foundational phase of life.
Most adolescent youth already play an active role in the providing food for their family: they cook. purchase food, and work to provide for the family’s daily food. They play an important part in the whole family’s eating habits and are also in a unique position to influence the whole family’s consumption of food.
This synthesis report—covering studies on adolescent nutrition in Cambodia, Guatemala, Kenya, and Uganda—shows that we need to develop a better understanding of adolescent populations if we want to develop better and more supportive programmes.
Alongside the synthesis report, this resource also contains four country studies of Cambodia, Guatemala, Kenya, and Uganda.
