Breaking the cycle of violence – building a future for the most excluded

‘Breaking the Cycle of Violence: Building a Future for the Most Excluded Children’ is a good practice framework for working with families of street-involved and excluded children. It advocates the benefits of therapeutic one-to-one sessions with these families to promote non-violence in the family home.
This booklet is designed to give an overview of a strategy for working with excluded children and
families affected by violence in the home. It seeks to give a flavour of what this strategy looks like in practice, and promote thinking and discussion around the critical issues of how to achieve inclusion for highly excluded children and solve the intergenerational transmission of family violence.
