BARN: Barn i Europa. Nr 3, 2009

This edition of Save the Children Sweden’s quarterly magazine BARN begins with a series of articles that look at the lives of children who live in the suburbs of Sweden’s largest cities. Interviews with children, police, and teachers reveal a hard life that is bound by the limitations of poverty, language, misunderstanding, and vicious circles.

The magazine continues by looking at children living in the suburbs of other European cities. Further articles look at European Union and local government measures to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children.
