Bajo techo ajeno. Historia de niñas trabajadoras en el servicio doméstico en Marruecos

Morocco has one of the highest child labour rates in the Middle East and North Africa, and the “Petites Bonnes” (little household maids) make up the majority of child domestics in the country. Bajo techo ajeno (Under a stranger’s roof) describes the everyday life of the “Petites Bonnes” , the underage little maids who work in private homes as domestic workers in Morocco. Girls as young as 7 are forced to leave their home to work as servants for wealthy urban families, many times without earning a fair salary. The children themselves report about their living and working conditions, their relationship with employers and parents, and how they feel that they are treated by their employers.
