Atlante dell’Infanzia a Rischio: Lettera alla scuola

This year the Childhood Atlas is dedicated to schools in Italy.

For children and adolescents in very vulnerable situations, the school has often represented a safe haven. However, alongside many excellent Italian schools, there are still unacceptable situations of didactic illiteracy, organizational precariousness, structural deficiencies, real discriminations and injustices,  which disproportionately affect the most disadvantaged children.

How is it possible that both extremes co-exist in Italy, and how can one address this issue of educational inequality that has affected entire generations?
