The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) is an annual, inclusive intergovernmental platform designed to support the follow-up and review of progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the regional level. This forum serves to inform, empower, and assist Asia-Pacific countries, with a particular focus on least developed countries (LDCs), landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), and small island developing States (SIDS), in their efforts to achieve the 17 SDGs and their associated targets. It does so by identifying regional trends, sharing best practices, and facilitating the exchange of lessons learned. The APFSD brings together United Nations system bodies, member states, international organizations, civil society, and other key stakeholders whose contributions feed into and inform the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York, which conducts a global review of sustainable development progress. The 12th APFSD was held from 25 to 28 February 2025 at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand with the theme: “Advancing sustainable, inclusive,science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for leaving no one behind in Asia and the Pacific.”
