Asia and the Pacific Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition 2020: Maternal and child diets at the heart of improving nutrition

This is the third annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the World Health Assembly targets 2030 on nutrition in the Asia and Pacific region, written by United Nations agencies. The report tracks progress on key SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) indicators and World Health Assembly targets up to 2019. However, there is a growing concern that many of the gains made in earlier years will be erased by the COVID-19 pandemic. The report also focuses on challenges and possible solutions to improve diets for mothers and children. Finally the report provides recommendations on how to address these issues.
