The Article 15 Resource Kit: How We Organize and Manage Ourselves [Module 6]

The Article 15 project is a new long-term research and development collaboration between WorldVision, Save the Children Norway, UNICEF and Childwatch International and coordinated by the Children’s Environments Research Group (CERG) of the City University of New York. It was created to support the capacities of children and young people around the world to self-organize and fulfill their rights, in partnership with adults, by:
Raising awareness around Article 15 and children’s right to self-organize;
– Developing tools for the establishment, management, and sustainability of child-managed groups; – Supporting children and adults to work in partnership by designing a process that strengthens their understanding and respect for one another.
The Article 15 Resource Kit includes 20 tools within 10 modules, with each module addressing a different theme on how children’s groups organize themselves. Module 6 of the Resource Kit helps children’s groups to reflect on how they organize themselves and create roles for members. The tools enable groups to identify and reflect on the balance of power between different members to find ways for all members to have an influence on decisions.
