Analytical Report on Classroom Teacher Performance Assessment (Egypt, 2025)

A pre- and post-assessment were conducted to study the change and development in teachers’ performance as a result of the training, The assessment focused on skills acquired during the training and their application in the classroom. A pre-test was conducted inside classrooms for a sample of teachers using a specialized tool developed by educational supervisors. This tool measured 17 skills to determine the actual skills in use before the training and identify weaknesses for improvement. After the training, a post-assessment was also conducted in classrooms using the same tool to capture changes in teacher performance. A random sample of 34 teachers was selected for this evaluation. Supervisors were trained in advance on how to use the assessment tool effectively to accurately capture the degree of improvement in classroom teaching practices.

The main outcomes of measuring teachers’ performance improvements and their practical application of new knowledge, as revealed through an in-depth analysis of the pre- and post-assessments, showed significant progress in classroom performance. The average pre-test score was 1.7 out of 4, which increased to 3.0 in the post-test, indicating a 75% overall improvement. This jump reflects a shift from the “beginner/developing” level to the “proficient/advanced” level according to the adopted scale and represents a strong indicator of the training program’s effectiveness.
