Save the Children Sweden
In 2003 the Swedish Parliament adopted the Policy for Global Development. The goal of the bill is to contribute to equitable and sustainable development. It should apply to all policy areas. The report ”An analysis of Sweden´s Policy for Global Development and its implications for Children´s Rights in conflict settings” is about Sweden’s security policy, civil and military cooperation and the rights of the child. One of the conclusions is that it is not clear how the Policy for Global development can be implemented in practice to ensure its promises to children affected by conflict are to be fulfilled. Save the Children Sweden also proposes a number of measures that Sweden’s government should take in order to strengthen the rights of boys and girls in conflict settings.
