There is an unprecedented amount of adolescents across the world, however, a large amount of them are unable to reach their full potential. Many youths die of preventable causes such as diseases and during childbirth, a significant number (1.8 million) are living with HIV, and others are displaced by war and natural disasters. In the face of these challenges, it is important that youth take an active role in advocating for improved health and well-being for themselves and their constituents.
The Advocating for Change for Adolescents! toolkit has been developed by youth, for youth, to be utilized by youth-led and youth-served organizations to improve the lives of youth. The focus of the toolkit is to guide the design, implementation and monitoring national advocacy action for youth.
