In September 2007, 240 girls, boys, young men and young women took part in consultation workshops in the four Ugandan districts of Kitgum, Gulu, Lira and Soroti, to put forward their opinions and ideas about how accountability and reconciliation should work once peace is achieved in Uganda. Many of the children and youth were amongst those most severely affected by the conflict, and therefore most in need of accountability and reconciliation.
Read this report to learn how children and youth view reconciliation and accountability in the aftermath of conflict.
