Euro-med Human Rights Monitor
This report examines the impact of 17 years of Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, which has led to severe humanitarian, economic, and social consequences for its nearly 2.3 million residents. The blockade, imposed in 2007, has restricted the movement of people and goods, limiting access to basic services such as healthcare, clean water, and electricity. As a result, poverty and unemployment have reached alarming levels, particularly among youth and women. The report highlights how these conditions have exacerbated the psychological toll on Gaza’s population, contributing to a cycle of hardship and despair.
The report also addresses the international community’s role, calling for stronger efforts to end the blockade and provide sustainable solutions. It underscores the urgent need for action to protect human rights, rebuild infrastructure, and improve living conditions in Gaza.
