The Pacific is no stranger to disaster, being vulnerable to many natural hazards that include floods, droughts, cyclones, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis. Over the past decade, disaster risk reduction programmes have been implemented and evaluated in the Pacific.
