Save the Children Thailand
In 2025, unprecedented flooding in Southern Thailand severely impacted more than four million people, damaging homes, infrastructure, and disrupting essential services. Children were among the most affected, facing increased risks to their safety, mental well-being, and access to education. At lease 984 schools were damaged or disrupted, affecting over 76,000 students and 6,700 teachers and education personnel across Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat provinces.
Save the Children Thailand is implementing and integrated emergency response focused on child protection, the distribution of baby and child relief kits, and the restoration of learning opportunities. Through psychological support, safe spaces, emergency education, and close coordination with local partners and authorities the response aims to ensure children’s safety, well-being, and continuity of education while supporting communities on the path to recovery.
