The 2024 Save the Children Tanzania Annual Report highlights the organization’s efforts and impact in advancing children’s rights and well-being across the country. Throughout the year, Save the Children Tanzania reached over 2.6 million people, including 561,212 children, through initiatives in health and nutrition, education, child protection, child rights governance, emergency response, and climate change advocacy.
Key achievements include strengthening maternal and child health services, improving education access for underserved communities, advocating for child protection reforms, and amplifying children’s voices in governance and climate discussions. The organization played a pivotal role in national and global platforms such as COP29 and CSO Week, ensuring that children’s perspectives were integrated into policy dialogues.
Localization remained a priority, with increased partnerships with local actors, fostering sustainable, community-led solutions. Additionally, Save the Children responded to humanitarian crises, including cholera outbreaks, flooding, and mudslides, providing life-saving support and resilience-building programs.
As the organization moves into the 2025–2027 strategic period, it remains committed to strengthening partnerships, advocating for policy change, and expanding programs to ensure every child in Tanzania has the opportunity to survive, learn, and be protected.
