About the collection
Welcome to the Save the Children EiE Essential Resource Pack! Save the Children defines Education in Emergencies as the provision of uninterrupted, high-quality learning opportunities for children affected by humanitarian crises. It is about making sure children can learn regardless of who they are, where they live or what is happening around them and ensuring that they are safe while learning. Save the Children’s Education in Emergencies Essential Resource Pack (EIE Essential Resource Pack) was developed by Save the Children Education in Emergencies staff to increase programme quality and consistency. The EIE Essential Resource Pack has three parts; The Framing Document describes what we want to achieve for children in Education in Emergencies. It is based on the Quality Learning Framework. The Toolkit includes step-by-step guidance for selecting and sequencing interventions according to specific barriers to education, as organised by the Quality Learning Framework. The Toolkit is linked to resources in the Library. The Library consists of vetted Education in Emergencies resources organised by the Quality Learning Framework. The Essential Resource Pack can be used: To communicate Save the Children’s approach to EiE to development education specialists. To orient new EiE staff to the principles and framework of Save the Children EiE responses. As a conceptual framework for: an EiE response plan, a proposal, a humanitarian response submission sheet or as a guide for the evolution of an EiE response. As a supporting resource for the accredited Save the Children Education in Emergency Training.
