Girl-Led Movement Building

Adolescent girls face multiple and intersecting barriers that inhibit their ability to engage in advocacy and decision-making, and without tailored efforts to ensure their inclusion, they risk being left behind in these processes. In 2021, Save the Children made a commitment under the Generation Equality agenda to increase advocacy and financial and technical resources to enhance children’s, particularly adolescent girls’, civic and political skills and leadership. The Girl-Led Movement Building (GLMB) Project aims to fulfill this commitment by strengthening, resourcing, and more meaningfully partnering with girl-led groups and networks.
