In Europe, nearly 1/4 of all children face poverty and social exclusion. It’s a stark reality in one of the world’s wealthiest regions, and the situation is only getting worse. With the 2024 EU elections approaching, addressing child poverty must be a top priority for the upcoming European Parliament and Commission agendas To underscore the urgency of this issue, together with European members and country offices, Save the Children Europe have launched #EndChildPovertyWeek running between 8 and 11 April under the banner #IAm20Million. This collection aims at raising awareness, sharing crucial information, and pushing for impactful solutions to alleviate the widespread impact of child poverty on children and families continent-wide.
