About the collection
Save the Children is uniquely positioned to leverage extensive experience and program capabilities in advancing Child Rights and Governance (CR&G) that align with the priorities of U.S. Government donors, such as USAID and the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL). This Collection serves as a repository that showcases Save the Children’s CR&G programs and strengths. From supporting girls advocacy groups in Nigeria, to improving access to education of children with disabilities in Kosovo, and much, much more, the capacity documents present a range of contexts across the national, regional, and global level where we deliver CRG approaches and key accomplishments in partnership with the communities we serve. Our unique differentiators across U.S. funding priorities include: - Fostering a Strong and Diverse Civil Society: Civic engagement of children and youth including fostering a strong and diverse civil society with robust human rights and monitoring and reporting. - Holding Decision-Makers Accountable: Hold decision-makers accountable, especially on public commitments to children and youth. - Advocating for Transparency and Accountability in Budgeting: Advocate for transparency and accountability in budgeting. - Addressing Underlying Causes of Inequality and Discrimination: Partnerships with youth-led organizations and networks, as well as with socially excluded groups, and work on gender equality, human rights, and social cohesion.
