Child Protection in Emergencies Professional Development Programme
The Child Protection in Emergencies Professional Development Programme is designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and behaviours required of child protection in emergencies response staff.
The programme aims to empower professionals, from international and national NGOs as well as governments, to strengthen their child protection response capabilities in both chronic crises and new emergencies. Piloted in South East and East Asia, the programme is now up and running across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Eastern Europe and Eastern and Southern Africa regions.
The programme uses a blended learning approach: participants engage in distance learning sessions, residential training, job placements, seminar discussions, group work and reflective study. Its format and diverse pool of expert facilitators coupled with its complimentary mentoring component make it a truly 360˚ learning experience.
