About the collection
Cash & Voucher Assistance (CVA) for Child Protection (CP) outcomes is a programmatic approach by which CVA is used as a key modality of intervention addressing individual and household-level child protection needs in a complementary manner. It contributes to the achievement of positive CP outcomes in a holistic manner whereby both the social and economic risk factors leading to protection harms are addressed. This approach integrates CVA with child protection components and activities (Cash+), such as child protection and SGBV case management, appropriate care, mental health and psychosocial support, family-tracing and reunification as well as other activities aiming to protect children from violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect. Save the Children has a global footprint on Cash for Child Protection. It provides thought leadership and innovation, for example through the development of global guideline, providing bilateral technical support to other agencies in their own CVA for CP programs and delivering inter-agency CVA for CP training throughout the world. SCI implements numerous CVA for CP programs itself and conducts frequent research using ongoing CVA and CP projects. CVA and CP resources include global guidance and toolkits to design, implement, monitor and evaluate programs, including for use with adolescents, as well as research evidence reports, program summaries in the form of case studies and infographics, learning modules, webinars and trainings.
