About the collection
CVA can be used to address the the basic needs of Migrants during their displacement route, whether internal or international. Migrants include internally displaced persons (IDPs), international migrants, and refugees. Their vulnerabilities are not inherent but are influenced by multiple factors, including demographic characteristics, economic situations affecting available resources before and during displacement, the selected route (formal or informal), the degree of danger on the route, motivations behind the decision to move, and the means of transportation. Appropriateness and feasibility of delivering CVA to transient people must be considered, including understanding technical and operational challenges, and sharing good practices and lessons learned from country and regional office teams in the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) for CVA for people on the move. It is important to adapt CVA programming to the variety of mixed patterns and profiles of people on the move, as these characteristics create different types of vulnerabilities and require tailored responses. This collection is dedicated to sharing resources on case studies, findings, learnings, and research on using cash transfer interventions for transient populations in migration contexts.
