                                                      Building Brains Resources

Building Brains is an evidence-based, gender transformative and disability inclusive approach to nurturing care that has been implemented in humanitarian and development settings in 49 countries and 230 awards by health, education, protection and other sectors.  Building Brains equips mothers, fathers and other caregivers with the skills and confidence to engage babies from birth to three, including those with disabilities and living in adversity, in the safe, playful, and responsive interactions that are essential for healthy brains and holistic development.  Building Brains acknowledges the complexity and challenges of delivering cross-sectoral programs in resource-constrained settings and offers an evidence-based, flexible model that can adapt to local circumstances, capacities and needs.

After ten years of implementation of the approach, Save the Children collected evidence from across the globe to conduct a synthesis of available evidence to show the overall impact, uptake and scope of this intervention to date.  In this collection, the full report, evidence brief, and global and two regional two-pagers are available.
